RTC bus crushes software engineer at Banjara Hills

HYDERABAD: In a case of reckless driving, a software engineer lost her life after she was knocked down by a TSRTC bus on Road number 12, Banjara Hills at around noon.

Tension prevailed in the area after angry mob pelted stones on the bus and assaulted the driver who is a temporary employee of the RTC whose workers are on a prolonged strike.

Twenty-five year old Sohini Saxena who is working with Tata Consultacy was on way to her office  when a speeding RTC bus hit her bike from the rear side resulting in instantaneous death.

Her head was completely crushed. 

A team of Banjara Hills Police reached the spot and rescued the bus driver. They also shifted the dead body to government hospital for autopsy.

“We have registered a case against the bus driver and taken him into custody. We have also issued FIR against the mob that damaged the RTC bus and assaulted the driver,” said Kalinga Rao,Inspector Banjara Hills Police Station.
