Adilabad: District judge of Adilabad, Smt. Priyadarshini pronounced the historic judgment of hanging the gang-rape accused of Samatha case.
According to the details of the case, on 24th November 2019, a woman who used to earn her bread by selling balloons was gang-raped at Palapettar village of Lingapur Mandal in Asifabad District.
S.P of Asifabad, Mr. P. Malla Reddy conducted an investigation in which Shaik Babu, Shaik Shahabuddin, and Shaik Makhdoom were the accused. They were arrested by the police. The trial was conducted in a fast track court.
The statements of 44 witnesses were recorded and a charge sheet of 150 pages was filed in the District court.
In order to dispose off the case quickly, Govt. constituted a fast track court on 11th December in Adilabad. The hearing of the case was started on 10th December and the judgment was pronounced yesterday to hang all the three accused.
