Sharjah: Jagtial NRI succumbs to dengue fever

Jeddah: A Telangana NRI, believed to be suffering from dengue, has died in Sharjah in the early hours of Friday.

Mohammed Nawaz was working as a technician in the Sharjah Municipality for nearly a decade. Nawaz who was a native of Chelgal village in Jagtial district visited Telangana recently where he got infected with dengue virus.

The NRI had returned ten days ago to Sharjah amidst illness to join his job. He was taking medicines that were brought from India. Although Nawaz had joined the job, he was suffering with high fever, joint pains.

Later, he took medical leave after working a few days.

Nawaz rushed to Kuwaiti hospital in the city after feeling unwell on Thursday and was admitted into the emergency ward where he succumbed to the disease.

Jagtial Committee in Dubai under the supervision of Muzaffer Shaikh is following the repatriation process with local authorities.
