Scholars inaugurate Zun Noorain Hifz Academy in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: “Knowledge without religious enlightenment often results in its misuse of learning. Lack of religious guidance leads even the most knowledgeable people astray”, said Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, an All India Muslim Personal Law Board member. He spoke at an educational program organized by the Azaan Group of Institutions.

Addressing a gathering of Muslim scholars, students and teachers after inaugurating the Zun Noorain Hifz Academy at Bandlaguda, Maulana Rahmani said “Education connects one with the creator, and its rightful application serves for the benefit of humanity. If education is disconnected from religion, it leads to the destruction of humanity.”

“Most often the knowledgeable without religious enlightenment or moral guidance end up misusing knowledge and apply it for destructive and divisive purposes”, he said.

Referring to the importance of religious knowledge to curate human thinking, he said, “Religious centers are important to guide and enlighten humanity.”

Christened Zun-Noorain Hifz Academy is a center for memorization of Holy Quran, for students and youngsters, features Day cum residential facility for boys in a first of its kind air-conditioned campus.

The Hifz academy, founded by Azaan Group of Institutions has a multi-storied layout that houses classrooms, hostels, space for teacher training, accommodation for staff as well as parents visiting their children over weekends.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Yousuf Azam asserted “Religious education is the need of the hour along with modern education. He said “Such education can help in shaping a peaceful and tolerant society”, attributing this as the underlying idea for setting up the new center.

“The academy aims to help students master the memorization of the Holy Quran through a full-time course. Students will also be taught English, math and science too. The ambience and healthy environment play a major role in boosting the performance of the brain, which is crucial in the Hifz courses”, added Azam.

About 60 students have successfully completed the memorization of the Holy Quran at Azaan International School so far. The Hifz academy aims to provide a dedicated, distraction-free and healthy environment for students pursuing their Hifz course,” he mentioned. The academy also features a mini sports arena at its terrace laced with green turf and covered by safety nets.

The residential campus was inaugurated by Maulana Shah Jamaal ur Rahman Miftahi in the presence of Chairman Azaan Group of Institutions Dr. Yousuf Azam, Maulana Murhanuddin Qasmi, Maulana Arshad Nadeem Nadwi, Mr. Omer Gautam, Dr Syed Rashid Hussain Nadwi among others.
