School students to be trained at CCMB

Hyderabad: For the 7th consecutive year, CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad will conduct the two-week Young Innovators Program (YIP). During this program, 20-25 school students from grades 8-10 are trained on scientific methodology and are encouraged to be keen and curious.

The participants interact with active scientists at CCMB and are given hands-on experience in research. The YIP 2020 will be conducted from Dec 31, 2019, to Jan 13, 2020.

The participants are selected on the basis of a test. The test to choose the YIP 2020 participants this year will be conducted on Dec 26, 2019, at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology auditorium. The screening test participants will also get to attend a popular science lecture by Dr. VM Tiwari, Director, CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute. The talk will be based on water management strategies.
