Mumbai: Shabana Azmi, a veteran actress who was injured in a road accident is likely to move out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai.
Health update
Giving the details of the medical condition of the actress, her husband, Javed Akhtar said that Azmi is responding to the treatment and there are no internal injuries.
He also thanked everyone who prayed for the speedy recovery of the veteran actress.
It may be mentioned that many politicians, celebrities have wished the actress for her speedy recovery. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted, “The news of @AzmiShabana Ji’s injury in an accident is distressing. I pray for her quick recovery.”.
On the other hand, Filmmaker, Boney Kapoor said that the actress is under sedation as she is suffering due to pain. He further said that no one is allowed into ICU except her husband, brother and sister-in-law.
Road accident
It may be mentioned that the actress had met with a road accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway.
In the accident, she had suffered a head injury and there is slight damage to the backbone. Her husband also received minor injuries.
