Shaheen Bagh shooter Kapil has no links with AAP, says family


Gaje Singh, Kapil’s father has denied that he or anyone from his family has any link with AAP. He further stated that AAP members approached them during Lok Sabha elections and made them wear AAP caps. He further added that he was in BSP in 2012 and had quitted politics.

According to Delhi Police, Kapil Gujjar has links with AAP as they have recovered photos of Gujjar and his father with the important leaders of AAP like Atishi and Sanjay Singh.

Kapil’s uncle also commented on this controversy and stated that BJP wants to win the election and made this issue to target Kapil.

According to the Crime Branch official, Kapil purchased the pistol about seven years back for rejoicing in his brother’s marriage.

Kapil was detained by police on Saturday February 1, following the firing incident at Shaheen Bagh. He has been sent to two-day police custody by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Gurmohina Kaur.

The Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Delhi Police, Rajesh Deo stated that the initial investigation has disclosed that Kapil joined AAP in 2019. He also said that further investigations will made it clear that how much he was under the influence of AAP politicians.
