SOT along with Meerpet police apprehended two inter state illegal arm traders

Hyderabad: Under Rachakonda Commissionerate SOT (Special Operation Team) LB Nagar team along with Meerpet policeĀ  apprehended two inter state illegal fire arms traders and seized two pistols, six live rounds, one extra gun magazine and two mobile phones from their possession here on Saturday at BM Bar Almasguda, Meerpet.

Police officials said that illegal traders were two persons Arun Yadav resident of Majhgain Thana, Munger District, and 2) Shankar Yadav resident of Ganta Thana, Munger District.

The two interstate illegal arm traders were residing in the city in various places, Arun Yadav, S/o. Janaki Yadav, Age: 30 years who was working as private employees near paradise Hotel, Secunderabad. Shankar Yadav, S/o. Roshan Yadav, Age: 48 yrs, Occ: Watchman R/o BM BAR Almasguda, Meerpet, Balapur Mandal, RR District. Mithilesh Kumar, Age: 35 yrs, Businessman were apprehended by SOT LB Nagar team and Meerpet police at Almasguda Kaman under Meerpet police station for illegal possession of two Pistols, six live rounds and one empty magazine.

Sudheer Babu, Additional Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate said, “Arun Yadav resident of Majhgain Thana, Munger Dist of Bihar state is having criminal background and he came to Hyderabad in the month of January of 2019 and working as watchman at chutneys Hotel Secunderabad branch. The accused Shanker Yadav is resident of Ganta Thana, Munger Dist Bihar state he came to Hyderabad in the year 2010 and working as watchman at BM Bar Almasguda, Meerpet having close friendship with Arun Yadav. Both Arun Yadav and Shanker Yadav are not happy with their earnings and they hatched a plan to sell fire arms in Hyderabad city to needy customers which are easily available in their village lower cost. He told that Arun Yadav is contacted his villager i.e. illegal fire arms supplier Mithilesh Kumar and enquired about availability of fire arms. According to their plan Arun Yadav along with his friend Shanker Yadav goes to Arun Yadav village of Bihar state and approached Mithilesh Kumar, procured two pistols Rs 20,000/- per each one along with six live rounds & one empty magazine and came to Hyderabad by hiding weapons in their laguage bags for selling to the customers in Hyderabad for one Lakh rupees each weapon and doing this illegal business. Mr. Sudheer added.

Both accused Arun Yadav and Shankar Yadav are doing illegal fire arms trading business and investigation is in progress to find out from where they are procuring this fire arms and how many persons are involved in this racket and how many weapons they have sold till now.
The above raids were conducted under the supervision of G. Sudheer Babu, Additional Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate by J. Surender Reddy, Additional DCP Special Operations Team, T. Ravi Kumar, Inspector SOT LB Nagar, N. Yadaiah, Inspector of Meerpet Police Station, SI A.A. Raju and the staff of SOT LB Nagar Zone and local police.
