Hyderabad: Former minister and senior TRS leader T Harish Rao today participated in New Year 2019 celebrations at a Boys Hostel in Siddipet for the 14th consecutive time. He distributed sweets to the students on the occasion and asked them to get inspired by previous students, who achieved goals and settled in lives.
Harish said he will give his one month salary for procuring computers for the hostel. “We have developed the hostel now with all facilities. We have set up a study circle in the town for SC, ST and BCs and developing the segment on par with others. I am happy to be here to celebrate the New Year event”, he said. Harish Rao claimed that Telangana was the only State in the country to supply fine rice to the hostels besides giving Rs 20 lakh grant to the students for foreign studies.
“Make use of the facilities and opportunities and achieve the goals. As a family member I will be proud as your parents and Telangana soil, if you improve in your studies and get jobs. I achieved one lakh-vote majority following the spirit of KCR, who achieved statehood, Harish added.
