TADJAC defers Auto Bandh call

Hyderabad: On the advice of several other Auto Driver Unions in the City, the Telangana Auto Drivers JAC has postponed its proposed indefinite Auto Bandh decision from January 17 in protest against the police “partiality and double standards” for the time-being.

The Unions at a meeting held today unanimously supported the Auto Drivers issues raised by the TADJAC and the next date of the strike call will be announced shortly after holding a joint meeting of all the Auto Driver unions in the twin cities. The other reason for postponing the strike was that many of the drivers are out of the city at their native places in connection with Sankranti Festival.

TADJAC convener Mohd Amanullah Khan, appealed to the auto drives in the twin cities to ply their autos as usual and remain united for settlement of their reasonable demands.
