Taramati Baradari, another heritage on the verge of collapse?

Hyderabad: The historic Taramati Baradari, a 17th century monument that’s over 350 years old may be another heritage structure that seems to be severely damaged. Located at Ibrahimbagh on the Gandipet Road, visible cracks have been found on its arches.

It was built for the courtesan Baramati, during the time of Abdullah Qutb Shah, who was the 6th Golconda king (1626-72). Taramati baradari is a cultural complex that has an open auditorium, air-cooled theatre, a banquet hall, and a multi-cuisine restaurant. Photo: Laeeq
