Hyderabad: A delegation led by irrigation principal secretary Surendra Ram today appreciated Telangana for taking up mission bhagiratha program to provide safe drinking waters to rural people. The team met with ENC Kripakar Reddy in Hyderabad and sought to know details of the project, construction and details. The team is on the study of the noted project and interacted with the officials in the state. The officials gave power point presentation on the Mission Bhagiratha scheme.
The project was completed in a speedy manner as work agencies involved and ensured quality the officials informed to the team. They expressed surprise at the speedy completion of the project, a release said. When they sought to know how they got all permissions form the centre, the state officials attributed it to the continuous efforts by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The government is determined to provide safe and purified waters to the rural pockets and he project is operational. The UP team expressed satisfaction at the works as that will cater to drinking needs of the rural people who are so far been deprived of the facility. On studying the report and execution and cost estimation the team may recommend UP Government to implement a similar program in that state.
