Hyderabad: A sister was crushed and her brother seriously injured when they were hit by a tractor as they slept under a tree near their house in Elagandla village of Kotapalli Mandal in Karimnagar.
According to reports reaching Hyderabad, Pullaiah, a daily wage worker, and his wife Kamalamma came from their native village Karikali in Nandedh district of Maharashtra. They were earning a living by working in fields. They had two children—Lakshmi Bai, 7-year-old, and five-year-old Ramu.
On Monday morning as the children slept under a tree in front of their house a tractor carrying sand ran over them while reversing the vehicle. The girl died on the spot while the boy is struggling for life in a hospital, reports said.
