Hyderabad: Three minor boys were nabbed for attempting to steal a laddu off the hand of a Ganesh idol in Mallapur’s pandal by the Nacharam police on Friday.
According to the police, the incident occurred late at night on Thursday when the trio, all in their late teens, allegedly with a liking for lad- dus, had sneaked into the Ganesh pandal in Jinnaram Colony and attempted to steal the huge laddu kept along with the Ganesh idol.
Police personnel said, “One of the organisers who was asleep in the pandal noticed them and raised the alarm following which they fled the spot.”
Based on a complaint from the organisers, the Nacharam police registered a theft attempt case and arrested the trio.
