Hyderabad: Thousands of protesters joined the Tiranga Rally against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019, National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR). Later, they gathered for public meeting at Shastri Puram.
It may be mentioned that the rally is being organized by United Muslim Action Committee (UMAC), comprising All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Jamaat-e-Islami and others.
Led by AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, the rally began from the historic Mir Alam Eidgah.
People from all walks of life and religions participate in the rally to register their protest against the controversial laws.
