Tricolour hoisted on 100-feet-tall pole in Moazzam Jahi market

Hyderabad: A mega-sized tricolor flag was installed as a part of the Republic day celebrations in the historic Mozamjahi market on Sunday.

Restoration works of the iconic Mozamjahi market is almost completed. It was constructed in 1935 during the reign of the last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan. Named after his second son Moazzam Jah, the building is made of granite and has white domes, constructed in a style similar to that of the High Court.

“The 100-feet flag post and special illumination would add to the glory of the Moazzamjahi market, which could attract Hyderabadis and tourists,” an official said
