Srinagar: A truck driver was killed on Sunday in a stone-pelting incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said.
Noor Mohammed Dar, who hailed from Bijbehara, was attacked as his truck was mistaken as a security vehicle by the protesters.
Dar, who sustained head injuries, was referred to the SKIMS Srinagar where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Police said the stone pelter has been identified and arrested. A case of murder has been registered against him.
