Two held for stealing 9 Lakhs cash from ATM

Hyderabad: The Hayathnagar Police on Thursday arrested two accused who committed theft of an amount of Rs. 9 Lakhs from the HDFC ATM at Raja Rajeshwari Colony.

According to the Deputy Commssioner of Police LB Nagar Sunpreet Singh, Cheedarla Vinay a custodian in Secure Value India Ltd. at Secunderabad (Cash depositor in ATM Centers)along Konda Raghavendar Goud have committed theft of nine lakhs cash from HDFC ATM machine.

The prime accused has been working as custodian in Secure Value India Ltd. at Secunderabad from last 20 days. Previously he worked at Bricks Pvt. Ltd at East Maredpally, as a custodian at that time the another accused Raghavender worked as cash loader at ATM Centers at Writer safeguard,Prakash Nagar, Begumpet. Both the accused had become close friends.

Six months back Raghavender due to lockdown resigned his job and presently he is unemployed. Due their closeness, the duo hatched a plan to earn easy money by doing illegal activities.

Plan for committing theft

As per their plan the both accused on September 11, while loading the amount of Rs. 13,00,000/- in HDFC Bank ATM centre, near Bommala Gudi, Rajarajeshwari Colony, Hayathnagar. The very next day Vinay ATM combination (password to deposit cash cassettes) to Raghavender.

On earley morning of September 13, Raghavender entered into ATM Centre and committed theft an amount of Rs. 9,00,000/- (denomination all Rs. 500 notes) from ATM machine by using safe door combination password and left the place.

The Hayat Nagar police have registered a case and on credible information and technical evidence nabbed both the accused and recovered 8,95,000 cash from their possession.

The accused were produced before the court and sent to judicial remand.
