Two Hyderabadi students topped in world at Cambridge

Hyderabad: The two students from Manthan School, in the city have won prestigious ‘Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards’ for their exceptional performance in Cambridge International exams in 2018-19

Kavya Pothapragada Topped in World in Cambridge IGCSE in Mathematics(without Course Work). She is currently studying in 11th grade in the school.

Suhas Kellampalli Topped in the Country in Cambridge International AS Level in Biology. He is currently pursuing his 12th grade with the school. They are achieved this distinction across three series’s.

‘Top in the World’ refers to the learner who has gained the highest standard mark in the world for a single subject and similarly ‘Top in the Country’.

There are over 800,000 subject entries for Cambridge IGCSE exams each year.

They competed with lakhs of students across the world and one topped in the world and the other topped in India

This year, 207 Indian students from across the country have been declared winners and have received Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards.

Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards are a group of awards issued by Cambridge Assessment International Education. They recognize exceptional learner achievement in Cambridge examinations around the world. The primary purpose of these awards is to celebrate and recognize the success of high-performing Cambridge The awards recognize exceptional exam performance in 2018-19 under four categories – ‘Top in the World’, ‘Top in the Country’, ‘High Achievement Award’ and ‘Best Across’. The number is much higher compared to 173 winners in 2017-2018.

The global awards celebrate the highest performing students from these countries in qualifications recognized around the world by leading universities and employers.
