Two suspected Maoists land behind bars in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The special officers’ team of LB Nagar police on Tuesday arrested two suspected Maoists.

The police officials conducted a search operation at a house in Mansoorabad and found that two top Maoists who were on bail are participating in illegal activities.

The police have seized incriminating Maoist literature, three laptops, pen drives, memory cards and correspondence from the arrested persons.

According to police, the arrested persons are the prime suspects for the Maoist activities in the State. From June this year both husband and wife were involved in several unlawful activities.

The arrested persons have been identified as Narla Ravi Sharma, aged 54 years, who is a revolutionary of CPI Maoist Party and former SCM, Bihar regional committee. His wife Bellapu Anuradha is a year older than him. About sixteen cases were registered against him in which eleven are in Jharkhand, four in Hyderabad and one at Chintapalli,Visakhapatnam Rural, AP.

Police said that the seizure of large quantity of literature and digital gadgets from his house authenticate that he is a hard core Maoist.
