UAE Jobs Bank launched

Abu Dhabi: UAE Jobs Bank, a portal for searching jobs was launched by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

According to a report published in Khaleej Times, it will help Emiratis in searching for jobs in 160 different professions.

Emiratisation

The portal was launched keeping in view of the Cabinet’s resolution that favours Emiratisation.

The announced of the launch of the portal was disclosed during the 3rd UAE Government annual meeting. The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

It may be mentioned that the portal will facilitate Emiratis to apply directly to government and private jobs. The mechanism will give priority to UAE national in 160 professions.

Phases

During the phase, I, government entities, semi-government companies, federal and local organisations, public shareholding companies and national banks will be asked to post opportunities on the portal.

After the implementation of phase II, all government entities, semi-government and the private sector need to post their opportunities on the portal.
