Dubai: An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck Iran on Sunday afternoon. It was also felt by the residents of the UAE as well.
According to the report published in Khaleej Times, the depth of the epicenter of the earthquake was 42 km. The earthquake hit Qeshm Island in southern Iran at 14:54.
As per the National Center of Meteorology, minor shocks were felt in Ras Al Khaimah too.
