Rape accused out on bail in the Unnao-like incident in Kanpur brutally attacked family members of the rape victim which led to the death of the victim’s mother who succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
According to reports, the accused reportedly attacked the victim’s mother and her aunt on January 8, Indiatvnews reported.
The rape case dates back to 2018 where a group of men abducted and raped a minor girl from her own society.
The rape accused was however caught and beaten up by the victim’s mother. The video of the incident went viral on social media.
Later on, the victim’s mother reportedly filed a complaint against one of the accused for abducting and molesting her daughter two years ago at a tannery falling under the jurisdiction of Chakeri police station.
The main accused along with five other perpetrators was booked under section 354 of the IPC (sexual assault of children) and sent to jail.
Only two weeks ago, the accused got out on bail and attacked the family on January 9.
