Update Chrome browser immediately, warns Google after discovering critical bug– Here’re the steps

San Francisco: After discovering a critical bug in the earlier version of the Chrome browser, Google issued a warning. It asked chrome users to update the browser immediately.

According to the report published in Telegraph, the browser’s Security Engineer Chief, Mr. Justin Schuh wrote, “like right this minute” and declared it “#PSA [Public Service Announcement]”.

As per Google, the flaw was a “Use-After-Free” which corrupts how web apps access memory of the computer. It may be used to install malicious software on a computer.

Here are the steps to update Google Chrome browser

1. Open Chrome browser
2. Click on “three dots” on the right-hand side of the browser
3. Click on “update google chrome”. It will not appear if the version is already updated one.
4. Finally, click on relaunch.
