US-N.Korea summit: Kim reaches Vietnam

Hanoi: North Korea’s top leader Kim Jong-un on Tuesday arrived in Vietnam for a summit with US President Donald Trump later this week.

He is headed on the final leg of his journey here by car, the BBC reported.

Kim’s green and yellow train pulled into Dong Dang station in Vietnam’s Lang Son province, the last station on the line before the Friendship Pass border crossing with Pingxiang, Guangxi in China.

Ceremonial guards and flag-waving crowds lined a red carpet laid out for him at the station.

The second US-North Korea summit follows a historic first round of talks in 2018 in Singapore.
