Hyderabad: The Controller of Defence Accounts (CDA), Secunderabad is observing the Vigilance Awareness Week from 28 Oct 2019 to 02 Nov 2019.
The theme of Vigilance Awareness Week for this year is “Integrity – A way of life”. The Central Vigilance Commission observes the Vigilance Awareness Week every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel falls and known to be a man of high integrity. The purpose of Vigilance Awareness Week is to generate awareness in the public at large about the ill effects of corruption.
The Vigilance Awareness Week has started with a Pledge by Officers and Staff. The inaugural session on the subject was conducted at Multipurpose Hall of PAO (ORs) AOC, Secunderabad. Mr. V.V. Lakshminarayana (Retd IPS), Former Additional DG, Mumbai Police, Former JD, CBI has graced the inaugural session and also spoke about integrity, its awareness, curbing and eradicating corruption, as well as the importance of right way to conduct the government servants in their day to day life both personally and professionally.
On this occasion, Controller Mr. K. Venkata Rao, IDAS has emphasized the commitment to achieve the goals of promoting integrity, transparency and accountability in public life.
