VP Venkaiah Stresses on Need to Speak in Mother Tongue

Hyderabad: Vice President M Vennkaiah today underscored the need for speaking in Mother Tongue and spread the same to future generations.
Addressing the Platinum Jubilee program at AV College campus here, the vice president asked the people, youth and children to talk in mother tongue and avoid ignoring it. Venkaiah Naidu appreciated the management for providing education to the poor through its college and school. The education should be changed and help cater to social and industrial needs besides providing jobs and employment. Stating that there is a need in education he said that people should encourage children in studies not only for jobs and for knowledge of science and serve the nation.

Teach values and morals to the children and ensure business establishments and traders to have boards in mother Tongue, he said. Venkaiah Naidu said that our nation is the most pious and we have to strengthen the family system with values. Our nation is making rapid economic strides and will reach third biggest developing nation in the world he observed.

Education Minister Jagadish Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is making similar efforts in that direction by KG to PG scheme and starting institutions for all. AP Society Education president K Prathap Reddy, Secretary Konda Ramchandra Reddy, and others were present.
