Gorakhpur: In a wedding function, verbal arguments between families of bride and groom broke out over the ‘choice of songs’. Soon the argument took ugly turn and wedding venue turned into battlefield.
Both sides used bricks and sticks to attach each other. In the incident, one lost life whereas, 12 persons including the groom Beer Bahadur Nishad, his father Ram Subhag and maternal uncle Phirtu Nishad received injuries. This incident took place in Ashokpur village under Duboulia police station area of Basti district, UP.
According to the report published in News18, the clash broke out during the ‘Dwar Puja’ ceremony.
After the incident, police rushed the spot and shifted the injured to hospital. Two persons were arrested.
