WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to be kicked out of London embassy

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will be expelled from the building within “hours to days,” by the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Holed up in the building since 2012, Assange had applied for asylum there to avoid being extradited to Sweden to face sexual assault charges.

WikiLeaks tweeted: “BREAKING: A high level source within the Ecuadorian state has told @WikiLeaks that Julian Assange will be expelled within “hours to days” using the #INAPapers offshore scandal as a pretext–and that it already has an agreement with the UK for his arrest.”

Ecuadorian President Lenín Moreno recently accused Assange of repeatedly violating the terms of his asylum in the embassy while speaking to radio broadcasters in the country.

According to Daily Mail, protesters began descending on the west London embassy after online calls for people to ‘protect’ the controversial whistleblower.
