Hyderabad: The East Zone Task Force police have detained a man and are wrapping up the case by gathering evidence agianst him in connection with a
rape-and-murder case reported with the Saidabad police earlier last week.
The deceased was identified as Anjamma, aged about 45, wife of Chandraiah, a resident of Champapet. Her dead body
of was found on September 13, and has been 70 percent decomposed, making it initially hard to confirm the rape angle, said the Saidabad police.
Police personnel says that they are checking the CC cameras in the vicinity for further evidences about the murderer.
However, the PME report has confirmed that she was raped and killed by a man who has been taken into custody by
the Task Force officials, said the DCP of Commissioner’s Task Force, P Radhakrishna Rao.
