‘Young India against CAA-NRC-NPR’: Hyderabad chapter launched

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad chapter of ‘Young India against CAA-NRC-NPR’ campaign was launched on Tuesday. Members of about 20 organization, have come together to form the Hyderabad chapter of Young India against CAA-NRC-NPR.

Students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) along with various other organisations will participate in the campaign. TOI reported.

The students will stage protest against Citizens Amendment Act (CAA), hold huge public gathering as part of the campaign.

They will demand the BJP-led government at the centre to revoke its decision to implement the National Population Register (NPR), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and CAA.

According to Bhagyashri of TISS, over 100 varsities across the country will take a pledge against CAA, NRC and NPR.

The students will also take part in the protest by Young India on January 8 and will ensure that all varsities are closed on that day in solidarity to protests against CAA.

Young India against CAA-NRC-NPR has given an ultimatum to the central government to shelve their plans of implementing NPR, NRC, and CAA by January 26, 2020.
