Air India declares free passage for tourists stranded in Srinagar

As Jammu and Kashmir remains under flood water, Air India has decided to provide free service to tourists trapped in the area.

The Srinagar airport is still functional allowing the rescued tourists to be transferred to safe places, majorly to Chandigarh and Delhi.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat yesterday announced his government’s decision of granting an aid of rupees ten crore for the flood hit Jammu and Kashmir state. Also, the state government of Odisha has announced financial aid of five crore.
