Dilsuknagar blasts: Another victim dies, toll now at 17

Hyderabad blasts of two weeks ago is now 17, with the death late last night of 25-year-old Amrutha Ravi at the city’s Yashoda Hospital.

Ravi was brought to the hospital on February 21 from Dilsukhnagar, the site of the terror attack, by an auto rickshaw driver passing by. He was in critical condition and died close to midnight on Monday of a cardiac arrest.

On that Thursday evening, Ravi was out with friends at the busy marketplace that houses movie theatres and eateries, when the blasts happened a little after 7. His friend Rajshekhar died on the spot.

Both young men aspired to be policemen and were awaiting results of an examination that would make them sub-inspectors.
