Chitradurga, September 19: Two persons were killed and nine others injured when lightning struck them while they were working in a field at Chikkanahalli in the district today, police said.
Three of the seriously injured were referred to a hospital in Bellary while the remaining were admitted to a local hospital, police said.
Twenty sheeps also perished in the lightning, they said.
