Zimbabwe sets Pakistan target of 269

Sikandar Raza scored an unbeaten century as Zimbabwe set Pakistan a target of 269 in the second one-day international of their ongoing bilateral series in Lahore.

Zimbabwe started their innings strong, with Vusi Sibanda and Chamu Chibhabha forging a strong partnership, before Mohammad Hafeez got the vital breakthrough and dismissed Sibanda. Thereafter, Zimbabwe kept losing wickets at regular intervals, and after Chibhabha fell for 99, Zimbabwe was in danger of posting a very low score, the BBC reported.

However, Raza’s whirlwind knock, including eight boundaries and three sixers, ensured that the visitors finished at 268 runs for the loss of seven wickets at the end of their quota of 50 overs.

Meanwhile, Pakistan had at the end of 28 overs scored 139 runs, losing only two wickets so far.

Pakistan currently leads the series 1-0. (ANI)
