Patiala: Two persons were arrested for allegedly beating up a woman here, police said today.
Meena Kashyap’s sister Sukhwinder alleged that her sister was brutally beaten up by her brother-in-law Kamaljeet Singh and his friend Gaurav on Friday.
She alleged that Kashap’s husband Daljeet Singh used to beat her up for dowry, and this time she was thrashed at his behest.
Police said a case has been registered against the accused.
Kamaljeet and Gaurav have been arrested while Daljeet is absconding, they said.
Kashap and Daljeet, resident of Nabha gate here, were married two years ago.
