New Delhi: A man was charred to death while three others sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out at a tire factory under Lisari Gate police station here this evening, police said.
A team of police officials and fire tenders was rushed to the spot and the fire was doused after two hours in which property worth lakhs of rupees was gutted, Meerut SP Om Prakash said.
The fire broke out in the factory at Khushal Nagar area in which 30-year-old worker Raja was killed and three others were seriously injured, who were taken to Medical College here, he said.
A probe has been initiated to ascertain the cause of fire, he said.
