4-lane roads to Hyderabad from districts: CM

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed the officials concerned to take up on war-footing the road connectivity to State capital and districts, districts and mandals and villages. He asked them to lay perfect and qualitative roads on permanent basis to cater to the needs of future generations.
Holding a review on budget proposals of Roads & Buildings department at his camp office here on Monday, KCR asked the officials to lay four-lane roads from districts connecting the State capital. “Providing better road connectivity is top priority of the government which is a key for development. The officials should prepare plans to lay four-lane roads to State capital from all district headquarters and double roads connecting mandal headquarters with district headquarters. He also stressed the need for implementing a policy decision to lay roads to every village and offices for legislators at their segments in a year.
Convention Center at NTR Stadium

As the state capital is the Centre for many international programs and workshops there is a need for another convention center like that of HICC he said. The proposed Kalabharathi auditorium at NTR Stadium opposite Indira Park should also have a big and enticing convention center. There must be residential facility and quarters for Chief Minister, Speaker, Council Chairman, CS and officials he said. KCR stated that a six member committee was constituted and Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma will finalise on procuring land, layout and design for the purpose. (NSS)
