4 new IT projects on Dec 28: KTR


Information Technology & Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Ramarao today said Hyderabad will be made a major IT destination hub.

Inaugurating an Animation and Gaming Incubator Image Center in Madhapur here along with IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, the minister disclosed that Microsoft CEO Sathya Nadella will be visiting the Hyderabad T Hub and inspect startups there on December 28. “On the occasion, we will launch four new IT projects”, he said, adding that priority will be given to startups in Gaming and Animation.

“Our aim is to make the city a global destination for Information Technology and steps will be taken to offer extensive priority to the startup companies in Gaming and Animation sectors”, he said. The Minister also said a new Image Center will be opened in the first quarter of 2016 in the city. The ultimate aim of the government through such centers was to ensure that the youth get jobs and employment opportunities, KTR noted.

KTR said Hyderabad is the safest city in the country and attracting many top notch industries, companies coming with huge investments. “We will attract more such companies with hassle-free dispensation of all permissions”, he said. (NSS)
