ACB went for ‘tea party’ in Sheila Dikshit’s home alleges Kapil Mishra

New Delhi [India]: Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra on Sunday alleged that the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) team was trying to protect former chief minister Sheila Dikshit from corruption charges on the water tanker scam.

Speaking to ANI, Mishra said it seems as if there is pressure on the ACB to save Dikshit.

“Sheila Dikhit, under whom there are almost 4 FIR cases of corruption, ACB goes to her house, drinks tea and hands her a list of questions. It also seems like Sheila Dikshit is Narendra Modi’s aunt. Seems like it is her government, if they do anything to her they will lose their jobs,” he said.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader also said that the ABC team went to Dikshit’s home for a ‘tea party’

“Tea party was organized in Sheila Dikshit’s home. When the ACB summoned me, I was questioned for 5 hours, was cross-questioned, and was interrogated, at least six officers were sitting during the interrogation,” he added.

The ACB gave a questionnaire to Dikshit, talking about which Dikshit said it has 18 questions and that it would take her some time to answer.

“ACB hasn’t set a time limit for me to answer the questionnaire, there are a lot of details that I don’t remember. ACB questionnaire has 18 questions, it will take me time to answer them,” she told the media here.

The AAP government had in June last year constituted a fact-finding committee to probe the irregularities in hiring some 385 stainless steel water tankers by the Delhi Jal Board in 2012 during the Congress’ rule. (ANI)
