Over 23421 applications were submitted till Saturday evening for admission into 71 Minority Residential Schools established for minorities in Telangana. The last date for submission of application is May 23. Vice Chairman Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) and Director General Anti Corruption Bureau Abdul Qayyum Khan is working hard day and night for the success of the scheme. Now that two days are left for the submission of applications it is hoped that the number of online applications would reach 25000.
However the schools being established for minorities failed to evoke good response from the minorities themselves. Of the 23421 applications only 9336 applications were received by Muslim minorities while 13796 non-minority candidates submitted online applications.
Classes for 5th to 7th class will begin from June 13.
