New Delhi: What comes as a surprise for US President Donald is that his own people do not trust him and would choose a news network over him.
According to a recent online survey, it has been revealed that adult Americans actually trust the news network rather than their President.
The survey was conducted after Mr Donald took it out on the leading news network CNN calling them ‘Fraud News Network’ and putting a video meme on Twitter.
According to the reports from US media, 50 percent Americans voted for the news network in the trusting scale whereas 43 percent said they trusted Trump. About 4,965 people participated in the survey poll between June 29 and July 3. The margin of error was 2.5 points plus and minus for the survey poll.
SurveyMonkey conducted the online poll. Jon Cohen of SurveyMonkey was quoted saying “The fight… between the White House and major media outlets has made the question of truthfulness just as partisan-tinged as health care or other policies”.
The poll though was different for both Democrats as well as Republicans as 91 percent of Democrats voted for CNN whereas 89 percent Republicans voted for Trump.
The independents, however, had not much of a difference ass 55 percent supported CNN and 40 supported Trump.
The Americans also seem positive about other new networks like NYT, WaPo, ABC, CBS as well.
