Mumbai: Anita Dongre has come on board as the grand finale designer at the Lakme Fashion Week’s Summer Resort 2017 edition.
The designer will showcase her collection, which is poised to be the ultimate display of royalty.
The latest line fuses a variety of styles, silhouettes and designs to offer customers a fashion that is global chic.
Talking about the upcoming fashion week, Dongre said, “It feels great to collaborate with the Lakme team for the Grand Finale for the first time. I am excited about the argan oil trend in beauty and look forward to bringing alive the Liquid Gold theme through my designs.”
Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovation at Lakme, said that Dongre’s organic approach made her a natural collaborator as the company launched its Argan Oil lipsticks range.
“She works closely with traditional artisans in showcasing Indian aesthetics with a modern sensibility. We look forward to seeing her interpretation of Liquid Gold at the finale.”
The five-day fashion extravaganza will begin here from February 1.
