Arrangements for “Ijtima” in city discussed

Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Mohammed Mahmood Ali convened all-department review meeting today at his chambers in Secretariat to discuss about the arrangements to be put in place for the upcoming religious congregation “Ijtima” under Dawat-e-Islami organization from March 10 to 12 at Pahadi Shareef bypass Road.

 

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Saleem, MLC, Mahesh Bhagwat, Commissioner, Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, Sunder Abner Joint Collector, Ranga Reddy, N. Ravi Kiran, Additional Commissioner, GHMC, Rameshwar Rao, Director Operations, HMWSSB and other officials from R&B, TSTRANSCO and Revenue departments were present in the meeting.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister instructed all the concerned to take needful steps for safe and incident-free Ijtima. He also stressed on the arrangements for providing safe water, electricity, sanitation and most importantly police bandobast for incident-free event. He asked the officers to strictly adhere and complete all approved works within the timeframe so as to enable a convenient and incident-free pilgrimage for over three lakh people expected to gather during the Ijtima (religious congregation) from across the country.

 

Apart from officials, representatives from Dawat-E- Islami Naeem Attari, Maqsood Attari, Gulam Illiazi and Muneer Qureshi were also present. (NSS)
