Arunachal celebrates Gandhi’s birth anniversary


Itanagar: The 146th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated in Arunachal Pradesh along with the rest of the country.

Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, Education Minister Tapang Taloh and RWD Parliamentary Secretary Jambey Tashi paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Park here.

The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) also observed the day by paying floral tributes at the portrait of Gandhi at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan here.

Mass prayers were also organised in different parts of the state.

To mark the occasion, a cleanliness drive was organised in various districts along with the state capital.
