State government has announced to release 800 auto-rickshaws to minority youth in Rangareddy district. However the auto unions of the city have demanded that the government first release 1500 auto rickshaws which still have be released in the city and also handover the auto-rickshaws which were sanctioned in September 2015. Auto unions alleged that transport authorities are being negligent in releasing the autos.
It must be noted that 1000 auto-rickshaws were sanctioned to improve the economic conditions of Muslims, however the process of handing over the auto-rickshaws has not begun yet.
