B Ed web counseling and certificate verification was delayed on Sunday as the biometric device rejected the thumb impression of scores of female candidates who applied Mehendi during Eid.
Only couple of days are left for completion of verification process which escalated students’ anxiety. Girls were seen trying to erase mehendi with the help of detergent and even hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).
An official said that clear instructions were provided during the time of application, but the girls didn’t take it seriously. Those who had light colour were able to match by the machine, but the dark colours were not recognised. Students were asked not to panic as they have time till July 13.
