BDL, GHMC sign pact on setting up She-Toilets

The Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has entered into an agreement with the GHMC with regard to 30 She-Toilets in the City as part of Corporate Social Responsibility. The BDL executive director Dr NK Raju, GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy signed in the presence of GHMC Mayor B Rammohan here on Saturday to give Rs.2 crore for the project.

 

Expressing happiness over the agreement, Rammohan said he was happy for several corporate companies’ involvement in the development and in sanitary programs in the city. He revealed that already SBH, HUDCO, IOC and other companies approached GHMC in this regard. GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy said several companies extended financial assistance as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to construct more than 60 She-Toilets in the City. He said the She-Toilets were in progress at Charminar, Secunderabad, Passport Office, Golkonda,  Mehdipatnam Bus Stand, Dilsukhnagar Bus Stand, Secunderabad Bus Stand, Koti Women’s College, Hubsiguda LIC Office, Aramgarh Chowrasta, Park Lane General Bazar, Krishnakanth Park, Cancer Hospital, KBR Park, Shilparamam Bus Stop and at 15 other places.

He also said She-Toilets would be constructed at 30 more places with the financial help of BDL.  BDL executive director NK Raju said the company would extend financial help to the GHMC as part of CSR in the coming three years for the construction of She-Toilets across the City. He said that the company would extend its financial assistance to Swatch Bharat programs.

Deputy Mayor Baba Faciuddin, GHMC Additional Commissioner Ravi Kiran, Zonal Commissioner Harichandana, Solid Waste Management EE Srinivas Reddy, BDL General Managers Neelakantappa, Jagdeeshwar Rao, Battu Srinivas and others participated in the program. (NSS)
