Bengaluru: Two including a Yemen national arrested for assaulting 21-year-old woman

Bengaluru: many sexual assault cases have been registered in the city, two persons and a Yemen national arrested on Thursday in Bengaluru.

According to India.com, the incident took place on Friday when the 21-year-old woman from northeast went to pub on Brigade Road to meet her friends but they did not turn up.

The victim knows the Yemen national Ayub Ali and other accused Thimanna Uttappa allegedly mixed the sedatives in her drinks and the two forced the girl into a car and assaulted her there and they drop them in Kammanahalli area in east Bengaluru according to police.

The woman found in an unconscious state by a passer-by on Saturday and took her to his house and helped her to get in contact with her friends.

There were many burn wounds on the victim’s body apart from other wounds, with the help of the CCTV cameras police were able to identify the culprit.

Additional commissioner of police (east), Hemanth Nimbalkar said, “So far, we have arrested two persons and a probe is on to ascertain whether others were involved.”

The culprits have been booked under sections 354 (sexual assault with intent to outrage the modesty of a woman) and 273 (sale of noxious food or drink) of the Indian Penal Code.

In a similar cases a 21-year-old HR executive was molested by two scooter-borne criminals on January 15 in Banaswadi area in Bengaluru and other on January 4, a woman was grabbed and molested on the streets of Bengaluru by two scooter-borne men in Kammanahalli area in Bengaluru.
