Bihar poll outcome a win for our development outlook, says Congress

New Delhi, Nov. 8 : The Congress Party on Sunday said that if someone has won today, then it is the win of the people of Bihar and the mindset of the Congress, which is development.

“I want to say that if someone has won today, then it is the win of the people of Bihar. The mindset of Congress and the mindset of Bihar which is clearly the development of Bihar is winning,” Congress leader and former Minister of State for Home R.P.N. Singh told ANI here.

Responding to early trends in favour of the grand alliance in Bihar, Singh said “The morning trend belongs to the bigger cities and the later trends of other places belongs to people who are in distress because of poverty and hunger.”

Counting of votes for the five-phased Bihar Assembly election is in progress amidst tight security.

The trends available so far show that the grand alliance is ahead in 156 seats, followed by the BJP-led NDA in 76 seats.

CCTV cameras have been installed at all counting centres. E-counting software are also being used to record real time compilation of round-wise data. Observers have been deployed for each constituency.

The Election Commission has imposed a ban on victory processions to maintain law and order. The electoral fortune of 3,450 candidates will be decided today. (ANI)
